Our Year 8 netball team proudly progressed to the County Netball Tournament, which was held at RGS Worcester. The girls showed fantastic determination and teamwork throughout the day, competing against some very strong opposition. Our first match was a tough test against RGS School, who were clinical in front of goal and rarely missed a shot, resulting in a 9–4 loss. We then faced Hanley Castle High School and, despite working tirelessly, were beaten 8–3. Hanley were particularly strong at intercepting and breaking down our possession, making it difficult for us to build momentum.
The team responded brilliantly in their final game against Stourport High School, securing an impressive 9–4 victory. The match was evenly contested, with the score tied at 4–4 at half time. After the break, fresh legs were brought on through well-timed substitutions, and every player stepped up to make a difference. The renewed energy and determination across the court helped the girls pull away in the second half and seal a well-deserved win. We are incredibly proud of their resilience, teamwork and positive attitude throughout the tournament.
