Year 5 pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit to our local library this week, where they learned all about how to make the most of this wonderful community resource.
The librarian gave the children a warm welcome and talked to them about how to find books they would enjoy reading. Pupils explored different sections of the library and learned how books are organised, making it easier to discover new stories and non-fiction texts.
They were also shown how to scan books out using the self-service system, giving them the confidence to borrow books independently.
The visit was both informative and inspiring, encouraging a love of reading and showing pupils how the library can support their interests. A big thank you to the librarian for such an engaging and enjoyable session.
