One of our pupils, Evie-May P in Year 7, took part in the GKR Nationals Karate Tournament.
Evie, who is currently a Blue belt had to fight against green, blue and red belts. At one point Evie was round kicked to the head which knocked her down, but she contin-ued to fight and scored a full point by scoring a clean punch directly to her opponent’s face.
In one of her fights, her opponent was extremely aggressive and received multiple warnings for contact, which then lead to disqualification.
