Fifteen of our Year 8 pupils were recently given the valuable opportunity to undertake external training to become Play Leaders during break times. The training introduced them to a wide range of sports and playground games, which they later delivered to their peers. As part of the programme, pupils were encouraged to focus on key concepts including Safety, Space, Communication, Equipment, and Fun, ensuring that every activity is enjoyable and inclusive for all participants.
Having successfully completed their training, the new Play Leaders will now be placed on a rota to facilitate playtime activities for our younger KS2 pupils. They are eager to begin this exciting new role after half term and are looking forward to creating a fun, active, and positive environment on the playground.
